Sleeper

For two days she has done nothing but sleep. I hope she is ok. She seems to be. I get her up and feed her, and within the hour she is back asleep for like 3 to 5 hours. Then I get her up, change her, feed her and within the hour she is back out again.

She is 5 and a half months old this week, is this typical? She hasn't slept this much since she was a newborn.

So, I get Bad Mommy of the Year Award. Today I put her in her bouncy seat and checked my email real quick. Not even TWO minutes... I didn't strap her in. When I went back out there she was on the floor!! OMG I about died. She didn't fall or anything, just sorta slinked out of it onto the floor. She never made a sound. LOL

I was MORTIFIED. I always strap her in, not sure why I didn't this time. UGH. Bad bad mommy. She was just laying there, eating her hand and smiling up at me. *sigh*

She is quickly outgrowing her clothes. For anything that is one piece, I have her in 6 to 9 months and they are getting too small. She is so long. I am thinking about getting some of those extender thingies for all of her onesies, because this is just rediculous. !!!

Picture post coming this weekend... Hope everyone is well!!

Comments:
don't feel bad, we all do it. I did the same thing when my daughter was younger than maya. I had her in the swing with the strap on, and i didn't put the tray on that goes between her legs. somehow she wound up on the floor in a matter of seconds....seconds. not a peep. just wormed her way out and onto the floor. lol
i laugh now, but i was so upset then.

Thats funny.
I'm not sharing my bad mommy story, it might land me in the hands of DSS.

I will also not share my bad mommy story; it's much worse than yours.

About the sleeping, I don't know if it would be considered normal or not. Lila has never been much of a day sleeper. You could always call the pediatrician's office and ask them. That's what I'd do.

Maybe she's going through a growth spurt??? I know my baby always sleeps and eats more when that happens.

I also won't publish my worst mommy story...it's pretty bad and embarassing :-) But at least I know it won't ever happen again.

I cannot even tell you how many times Sophie has come off the sofa. It sounds like a growth spurt to me, but whatever it is I am very jealous because Sophie does not sleep during the day.

N fell off the couch at two weeks old - I thought he was secured inside the big Boppy, but nope. I was on the phone with the pediatrician's at the time, ironically, and the nurse assured me he would be fine. But I was so shaken, and Todd was insisting we call an ambulance! Ahhhh, first-time parenthood. ;-p

Both my boys would sleep like that during growth-spurts as well. If she keeps it up more than a couple of days, I'd talk to the doctor just to be sure though.
